Tom Rush! Master storyteller. Gorgeous
voice. He covered James Taylor and Joni Mitchell before anyone
knew who they were and has a knack for finding and writing worldclass
material. . I'm extremely happy to be opening for Tom Rush in
my old stomping grounds on Cape Ann. The Sunday night show at
the new Shalin Liu Performance Center sold out a while back,
but there are still a few tickets left for the show that was
added on Friday night. I'll be doing some stuff from way back
when, songs from both CD's, and a debut of a rockin' new number
with a story that takes place on the very same Cape Ann. I hope
you can come on out and cheer me on!

Lucian is a local promoter of inventive
and community-building shows on the North Shore of Boston. I'll
be joining a stellar cast of local musicians celebrating his
recovery from some recent health problems. (In case you didn't
know, I'm a former North Shore local.)
3. September Workshop/NYC/Mondays/9.13,
20, 27
There are a few openings in my September workshop on the Upper
West Side of Manhattan. I'd love to have you join us.
"We'll work with writing prompts and games, take a
quick refresher course for the creative mind, and enjoy a mini-spa
for our brains. Write from your memory, from your fantasy worlds,
or from your observations when you join a small group of like-minded
writers at Ina May Wool's Writing Workshop, skillfully facilitated
by acclaimed singer-songwriter, creative coach and “guide”
Ina May Wool. She has led these writing adventures all around
the country in the past few years. Songwriters, poets, memoirists,
inexperienced writers, and all who want to stretch their writing
muscles are welcome."
Contact INA MAY WOOL at inamayworkshops@verizon.net
and reserve your place. These sessions will fill up fast.
Some comments from recent workshops:
“I just took part in Ina May's workshop and want to testify!
I got a jolt of writing energy and a bunch of good ideas for
stories and songs,” Tom Boyd
"I left with inspiration and more trust in myself to get
my poems finished and published," Angela Lockhart
"I found that people were encouraging about each other's
writing, and that the class was creation-driven rather than
ego-driven. We enjoyed each other's work," Carolyn
"I learned ways to find my voice in the workshop and felt
I was reclaiming myself as a storyteller, incorporating the
other voice in my head," Chris
If you have any questions or if you'd like to sign up for the
workshop, please feel free to write me at: inamayworkshops@verizon.net
Thanks so much for reading.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
